More WPlus 9 Moods

This is my second take on WPlus 9 Mood Board 26

I used the WPlus 9 Blanket Stitched Blooms & sentiment from Heartfelt Mix, Hero Arts Starburst stamp & lace, Annabelle Stamps pearl sprinkles

WPlus 9 Mood Board 26

I just love this week's mood board from WPlus 9. I think I could make dozens of cards inspired by it.

This was my first take ... I wanted to use this fabric tape from Maya Road. I used the leaf die cut from WPlus 9; Hero Arts embossing folder & sentiment.

Glass Twinchie

The theme for the Twinchie Challenge Blog this month is Glass.

Using my Unity stamps, I coloured the image with a mixture of Copics and Distress Paint Metallic Bronze. A lovely thick coat of glossy accents makes it look like glass. This angle shows the glossy accents better.

It would make a great addition to a masculine birthday card. Inspired by the the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.

Envelopes

What do you do when you know you're going to be in front of the TV for the Australian Grand Slam finals ?

Grab some paper, your wonderful Envelope punch board & a bit of glue
And you punch up a whole lot of envelopes to match your cards!

And then for the tip of the week ... you emboss just the flap with a design that compliments the card.

I cut up ordinary coloured A4 printer paper that comes in a ream bought at the local supermarket. Works perfectly for envelopes. I also use the plain white too.

Card Scramble - Take 3

Continuing with my first card scramble of the year over on the Hero Arts Flickr group. It was run by Leni and her theme was WOOD.

As I was flipping through my stamps (for the second card) I found a woodgrain inchie. Thought it would work as a border. Added the paint splatter stamp and the die cut butterfly.

In case I am not allowed to flip the design from left to right (as I did on my first card), I will also enter this in Less is More sketch challenge

Card Scramble - Take 2

Continuing with my first card scramble of the year over on the Hero Arts Flickr group. It was run by Leni and her theme was WOOD.

Originally I was going to use the cloud washi with the woodgrain on my first card, but it wasn't working. And that's the great thing about washi ... you can remove it. So now I had this piece of cloud washi and even though it was only about 3 inches, I wasn't going to waste it.

I flipped through my Hero Arts stamps, and came upon the woodgrain cloud. Perfect pairing!

I spotted the Seize the Sketch Challenge ...

So I added a border, and will be submitting it.

But I think I prefer the first. What do you think?

Card Scramble - take 1

It's my first card scramble of the year over on the Hero Arts Flickr group. It was run by Leni and her theme was WOOD.

My first thought was to look at my washi stash because I have to use it up ... I have 3 drawers of it now. And lo and behold, I had a woodgrain washi tape. Yay!

I added splatters with the HA Green Fields dauber. There is glossy accents on the dots of the butterfly wings.

I will also enter this in Less is More sketch challenge. Am I allowed to flip the design from left to right?

Ooops ... went a little crazy

Now that I'm starting to get my craft room back (after it was Santa's workshop), I'm finding that I went a little crazy with December shopping ...

Unity had such a great sale ...

Plus got a few top of the wishlist dies from SSS ...

And the EKtools precision tweezers as my MM ones have disappeared.

I had better get cracking with creating!

And guess what ... a HUGE sale at Unity from today until Sunday 12 January!

25th Wedding Anniversary

Today is my 25th wedding anniversary! What an amazing milestone ... so many wonderful memories, and so many more to come.

This is my card for my husband.

I knew I wanted 25 hearts falling into the 25, in an ombre look to symbolise the passing of time. I created the ombre colours using my gelatos and there is a lovley shimmer. I die cut this on my silhouette cameo.

I'm entering this into the Die cut challenge at Addicted to CAS

2nd Wedding Card

Still sticking with the inspiration from the Muse Challenge 49 ...

This time, I wanted to use the Hero Arts medallion embossing folder.

First Wedding card

I need a few wedding cards, and this is my first take. I was so inspired by the Muse Cards Challenge 49 :

I love the off-centre layout & the lines of washi.

I knew the wedding colours were white and mushroom, so I want to keep with them. As lace is "in" here, I used a doily to give a lacy look. Here is my take :
